Claire & Cameron choose soft lemon and ivory

Lemon and ivory or white are a personal favourite of mine as the colours if kept soft and pastel look really pretty and very fresh with lime and paler greens.  Illios roses are ideal as they have many almost frilly petals and open up beautifully.  Claire had a combination of full large headed Dolimitri roses with the Illios and freesia in cream and white with tiny diamante studded bouvardia.  White organza ribbon and crystals finished the look.  The table centres complimented the bouquets incorporating a very pretty ring of roses and freesia with floating candles in a glass bowl to the centre.

Dibden Church wedding for Nicky & Ben

Nicky & Ben had a lovely local wedding at Dibden Church followed by Dibden Golf Club.  Soft lemon and cerise pinks worked well with Nicky’s bridesmaids dresses.  Each bridesmaid carried a striking single Milano Rose with Swarovski detail in cerise pink and organza ribbon in a soft gold.  Nicky carried a very pretty bouquet using milano roses, ivory roses, white bouvardia , lemon ice Germini and lily grass loops.  Finished with crystals and organza ribbon with diamante brooch effect on pink ribbon.

Vintage pinks and green for Lorraine & Ben

Lorraine knew exactly the look she wanted when she first came to see me for her bridal bouquets.  Her colour scheme was soft and vintage pinks with lots of green to compliment the bridesmaids dresses.  We chose cezanne roses in two tone pink and green, green lisianthus, sweet avalanche roses, spray roses called mimi eden and eucalyptus and soft ruscus foliages.  Finished with organza ribbon in olive green.

Natalie & Colin go tropical

Gorgeous pinks and oranges filled Natalie and Colin’s reception room at the very lovely Lord Bute Hotel in Highcliffe.  After the ceremony at the castle next door the couple arrive by horse and carriage to the hotel where they were looked after to an extremely high standard by the owners and staff.

Natalie always wanted to have a very tropical feel to her floral arrangements and flowers included bird of paradise flowers, Gloriosa lilies in cerise pink, gerberas in orange and pink, orange dendrobium orchids and green cymbidium orchids.   Natalie also included in her bouquet orange and pink dahlias, orange calla lilies and Swarovski crystals.

I was lucky enough to photograph Natalie in her dress and caught her leaving the hotel which was a real treat.  you truely did look absolutely stunning.

Beautiful Vanda Orchid Bouquet for Becky

Shades of lilac and purple throughout the wedding were the choice of Becky & Ian at the lovely Balmer Lawn Hotel in Brockenhurst.  Vanda Orchids are quite a large sized orchid which look gorgeous in a traditionally taped and wired bouquet.  Each flower is wired and attached to the next to create a lightweight elegant trailing bouquet.  Finished simply with white organza and Swarovski crystals I am sure Becky won’t mind me saying she cried when she saw it for the first time.  Weddings are so emotional and seeing your flowers is always a powerful moment, probably because it is the one part of the wedding that you really don’t know exactly how it will look until the moment it arrives.

Wishing you both lots of luck together and a very happy marriage.  I shall miss you both – having been booked with me since June 2008 !!

Becky had co-ordinating bridesmaid bouquets in lilac, purple and ivory.

Corsages

I often get asked what our corsages look like and who should have them ?  Usually the mother of the bride and groom and maybe special lady family members such as aunties or grans.

Here are a few examples

Lisa & Dan marry at Romsey Abbey followed by the DeVere Grand Harbour

Lisa & Dan chose a fantastic sunny friday to marry at  beautiful Romsey Abbey and then later went to the DeVere Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton for their reception.

Shades of pinks and lilacs were the choice for flowers incorporating some very special new roses called Memory Lane in a soft vintage lilac.  Cool Water and Keano complimented with mimi Eden spray roses too.  Lisianthus and bear grass complemented the bouquet.

The table designs were inspired by Dan and included cerise pink dendrobium orchids, threaded on aluminium wire and submerged in fishbowls of water with floralytes in pink to illuminate the water.

Gold & cream theme for Applemore College 2010 prom

I am very pleased to be involved again with Applemore College this summer for their annual Year 11 prom night.

This year the theme chosen for the decorations was gold and cream, which really completed the lovely old stonework walls of the Domus, Beaulieu, which was to be the venue for the evenings entertainment.

Traditional designs using gold shades of chrysanthemums, large headed gold gerbera and gold sprayed grass decorated the tables which were finished with helium balloons in gold and cream and tables beads in vanilla and orange.  The weather has stayed kind and I wish all the students a lovely evening.
